Revolution Jewel Collection Lip Topper

Hey darlings!

Welcome to TheBeautyRoom

Even though it is Tuesday, I hope you’ll continue to have a productive week!

For today’s post I decided to share with you guys a review on my first impression of the Revolution lip glosses in the Jewel Collection. I’ve been getting positive feedback about these glosses and I know there are a few who have been waiting on this post. So, today I am going to be giving you my views on how they apply, rating them for their pigmentation, staying power; and swatches are currently available on my IG.

There are 3 different shades from the Jewel Collection: Luxurious, Fortune and Exquisite

But I only purchased luxurious and exquisite, as I wasn’t too keen on ‘Fortune’ but let me tell you sis, I made a mistake instead I bought a setting spray… a setting spray I now regret kmt. Anyway, the Glosses are £4 each and can be purchased at Superdrug. With my purchase I got money off and even cute a mini coin wallet loool that came along with their usual mix and match promo they always got going on.

First, I love the Jewel Packaging, it is one of the best move that they’ve made. Providing it to be a cheaper alternative to high end brands, but still giving you the E X P E N S I V E experience. To visualise it, it has a similar look and shape to the Fenty Gloss bomb.

These non-sticky glosses, feel so good as it glides on my lips without feeling tacky, and makes my lips look edible. I’ll say it’s a dupe to Rihanna’s Fenty, based on the shine and plumpness it provides. I did try to wear it alone, I tried it, but it wasn’t for me. If you want to switch up your favourite matte lip stain, lipstick or gloss, the best combo is this lip topper as you layer it on top, preferably a nude, giving it a shimmery finish.

A nude that I mostly wear is from the Simani Collection -Simani.collection on IG (check out my previous review on them). But, that doesn’t stop you from mixing and matching different base colours.

I got a good response from these glosses especially, from my snap chatters and friends.

Luxurious A chrome sheer pink with Gold glitter

Exquisite A chrome sheer pink with cool silver shimmer

Fortune Iced silver shimmer

I wore ‘Luxurious’ on a night with my girls and it lasted for about 4/5 hours. I did have to touch up after sipping my Kinder Bueno milkshake (which was amazing btw) but that was minor and usually normal with most glosses. I love them, they’re comfortable to wear, amazing pigmentation and make me look like the baddest b**** x

Value for money

For £4 I don’t think you can complain about the value for money. I do think they are very affordable, compared to other brands. The colours are amazing and if you buy them from Superdrug directly you are usually prone to getting an offer.

Overall Quality

Generally, I am impressed with this collection as I love the pigmentation it provides. I will definitely recommend these to you.

Let me know what you think of them after your purchase.
